Since 2019, Traders Den PH aims to provide aspiring Filipino traders to learn about stock, Crypto and Forex Trading the right way.
New traders are often looking for Facebook trading groups where they can learn and can interact with like-minded individuals. The problem with some groups before TD Ph is most of them are not fully managed properly. Hypes and misinformation are rampant and these usually misguide newbie traders and become victims of stock hyping. So, in early 2019, I created TD Ph as a solution to that problem. I envisioned Traders Den Ph as a place where you can learn without any hype or misinformation. Now TD PH is an online community where you are free to learn, discuss ideas, ask questions, and interact with traders without promoting or favoring specific stocks. It’s a safe haven for traders who just want to learn and interact with their fellow traders. It’s a goldmine of information. If a trader wants to just purely learn about the stock market, then there is no better place than TD Ph.
What made you decide to write the books?
There are only a handful of stock traders or investors among Filipinos. These are less than 2 Million out of the 110 million Philippine population. The huge reason for this is the lack of education. There are no books, or at least books written specifically for Filipinos, available to educate traders about how to do trading properly. If you are a beginner, most books you will get your hands on are foreign books that do not talk about the Philippine Stock Market. There are few local books about trading but those books are not designed for those with zero knowledge about the stock market, specifically stock trading. TD PH books aim to educate Filipinos about the stock market. If you have no idea what the stock market is or how it works, we have the best learning materials for you. Our books are tailored-fit for Pinoy, easy to understand, and straightforward, in a way that even a 9-year-old kid can comprehend.
How did you come up with TDS Mentorship?
I mentored a few students for 2 years (started 2019) free of charge. That was GUT or the Give Up Tomorrow program. They were stock traders who lost more than half of their money in the stock market and back then they were just newbies. The mentorship became successful that many traders were asking if they could join the program. The truth is, mentorship was hard for me. I spent a lot of time on it each day for two years so I declined to mentor others outside GUT. Then Pandemic struck in 2020 and the call for my mentorship was louder than ever so I obliged and created TDS Mentorship Program.
What is the difference between TDS and TDS International?
TDS is a mentorship solely for trading the Philippine Stocks Exchange while TDS International is a mentorship dedicated for trading the global market such as Forex, Cryptocurrency and US Market.
How long have you been trading?
I have been trading for over a decade. I went through two stock market crashes. One in 2008 and one in 2020.
Why the stock market?
The stock market is attractive to a lot of people because of the low barrier to entry. All you need is an internet connection and an online broker’s account then you can already trade. It is a good place to earn money without working or having a day job. However, the failure rate is too high and this is the same reason why a lot of people give up in their first year. I find stock trading to be fun and a good place to earn a living if you understand how it truly works. I do have some non-trading-related businesses but I enjoy trading.
